America’s Top 100 Safest Cities for 2016 Names Two South Florida Cities as Safest Places to Live

Weston and Parkland Rank 11th and 13th With the Lowest Crime in the U.S.

Results for America’s Top 100 Safest Cities for 2016 are in, and the only two Florida cities making the list this year are in South Florida! Broward County gets the honors with Weston taking 11th place and Parkland following close behind at 13th, making them two of America’s safest cities as ranked by Neighborhood Scout.

As two of America’s Top 100 Safest Cities, Weston and Parkland experienced some of the lowest crime rates in the nation. That is certainly a reason to start searching for your next home to buy in one of these two Broward County cities!

America’s Top 100 Safest Cities ranks towns across the country based on population and the number of crimes reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies assigned to each city. All cities with 25,000 residents or more are analyzed and ranked according to the lowest number of crimes reported each year. Crimes considered include burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, homicide, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

Both Weston and Parkland have always been known as highly desirable cities to buy homes in and this recent ranking just confirms these two areas are two of the best when searching for a safe place to live. Besides being extremely safe, there are a number of other reasons why home buyers looking in South Florida may want to choose Weston or Parkland as a perfect spot to settle in and buy a home.
