Aventura real estate owners who appreciate classic rock especially love advanced audio machinery when it delivers golden gems like 2007’s The Song Remains the Same Collector’s Edition DVD box set. It featureds six new songs by the English gods of rock in concert, Led Zeppelin at Madison Square Garden in New York. The pioneers of stadium rock were trekking through their Houses of the Holy Tour in the summer of 1973. Until the Led Zeppelin DVD was put together in 2003, The Song Remains the Same was the only historical live document that Zep-heads could feast their eyes and ears on. The 2007 edition features newly remixed and remastered sound and contains more than 40 minutes of added bonus material.

The Song Remains the Same is an awe-inspiring treasure of live performances. The DVD captures the fast tempo and celebratory delivery of “Black Dog” morphs into “Bring It On Home,” a Baba Blues influenced number. The unsung classic is full of mystery and lusty menace. The acoustic guitar, slow drag tempo and echoing harmonica are spectacular. Another bonus is the folk-styled guitar licks of “Over the Hills and Far Away.” Mr. JPJ, John Paul Jones, puts down the bass and moves to an electric piano for “Misty Mountain Hop.” On top of the screaming “Since I’ve Been Loving You,” the doo-wop feel of “The Ocean” are so good, so good. The last gem to be uncovered is none other than “Heartbreaker,” the mighty Zeppelin’s mock-dramatic blues lament, propelled by Jimmy Page’s intricate wails.

The film also entails hallucinatory fantasy sequences meant to illustrate their individual personalities, such as Page as an 18th-Century knight. Yet, the original DVD released in the 90s doesn’t have many extras, as a theatrical trailer sums up its special features. However, the 2007 Collector’s Edition includes a BBC interview from 1976, and vintage TV footage from a New York concert, along with a Cameron Crowe radio show for people with homes for sale in Aventura to enjoy.

The original timeless songs seen and heard in the swirl of sound include “Rock and Roll,” as well as celebratory deliveries of “Black Dog,” the melodic “No Quarter,” the exciting “Whole Lotta Love,” and the epic “Dazed and Confused.” Most notable on the DVD, John Bonham’s twelve-and-a-half-minute version of “Moby Dick” will blow you away. Watch the man play with his hands and you will know why Bonzo is the greatest drummer to ever tour the globe. Under a green light, he adds a metallic feel to the number when he beats steel drums. The legend’s son, Jason, is seen in The Song Remains the Same, fiddling around behind his daddy’s instrument. True Led Zeppelin fans never get bored watching Bonzo create “Moby Dick” with pure precision in their Aventura luxury homes.

There is a reason that Led Zeppelin is so loved, decades after the drummer passed away and the band broke up. 2007’s The Song Remains the Same Collector’s Edition DVD box set will simply remind viewers that they were and always will be the best.
