Every week, the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club meets to watch a modern classic. The participants, mostly men and women with homes for sale in Boca Raton, watch a modern masterpiece by a brilliant director, such as Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, Oliver Stone or Steven Spielberg. This week, the owners of Boca Raton homes for sale viewed Francis Ford Coppola’s 1986 flick Peggy Sue Got Married.

The Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club’s pick is about a time-traveling housewife, Kathleen Turner.  Peggy Sue got the opportunity to relocate back to the 1950s and relive her high school days. She and her teenage lover, Charlie Bodell, had gotten married too young and ended up blaming each other for all the things they had missed. Marcus Levine, the owner of two different Boca Raton luxury homes, loves that the movie stars the brilliant actor, Coppola’s nephew, Nicholas Cage.

Rewinding decades was the woman’s chance to think outside of the picket-fence formula and change her wedded fate to an ultimately unfaithful husband. Jason Grossman is the newest member of the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club. Jason thinks that the funniest scenes include Charlie performing in a rock and roll band, and entering a confrontation in class between Peggy Sue and a teacher.

A few other members of the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club literally laughed out loud when the experienced pupil says, “Well, Mr. Snelgrove, I happen to know that in the future I will not have the slightest use for algebra, and I speak from experience.”  Kathleen Turner’s character takes no crap from the popular bullies, and the young lady assists the Bill Gates-like class nerd. Some guys at the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club love it.

John Clark, a huge fan of the Beatles, as well as the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club, appreciated when Peggy Sue says that she will fly to Liverpool and discover the Beatles. Nancy Taylor, a digital marketer in the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club, pointed out a young Jim Carrey and his small but comedic role in the picture.

Rachel Brookes is a practicing tax attorney who also participates in the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club. Ms. Brookes was the one who pointed out something extremely interesting. Coincidently enough, when Cage is pleading with Peggy Sue, he claims that he doesn’t know what is in store for to his musical career as a rock singer, he might even lose his arm before ever striking fame. In the veteran’s next role, 1987’s Moonstruck, Cage gave a memorable performance as a baker who lost his hand. Folks sitting in the Boca Raton luxury home were blown away.

Every member of the Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club agrees that Peggy Sue Got Married is marvelous. The two characters realize the true love that they have always had for one another through fresh eyes. Sometimes it’s just not all roses because true love has just a little rain. The Boca Raton Real Estate Owners Movie Club looks forward to its next screening.
