Oh, I love the hot Florida sun. Even if I have to pick up a bunch of tourists at the Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport and drive them all the way down to Key West, being an automobile employed by Uber is an absolute delight in South Florida. You see, I spent the last decade or so working as a cab in New York City. Trekking in and out of the Five Boroughs is enough to make any taxi drive right off of the Brooklyn Bridge. These days, I love being parked in a garage on Parkland real estate.

To begin, winters in the Big Apple are cold. No, forget that. In fact, they are downright freezing. My engine grows so cold that it takes me three or four minutes just to get myself warmed up. Then there is all that ice. Ice on my windows needs to be cracked, as old-school windshield wipers don’t stand a chance. Ice on my door handles numbs the human finger, resulting in my body getting kicked. Then all of the ice under my wheels makes for a slippery ride. Slippery rides quickly turn into accidents. There is nothing worse than a perturbed New Yorker trying to argue with a disgruntled cabbie.

There is no question that the streets are nicer around Parkland luxury homes. The unbroken pavement is wonderful under my rubber. Sure, it does get a bit steamy during the summer months, but it is worth it when I am cruising from Downtown West Palm Beach down to Parkland Florida real estate condos, as well as along the gorgeous beach on Fort Lauderdale’s famous Las Olas Blvd.

Perhaps one day, my owner will take me all the way down to the Homestead Speedway, where I can open up and drive as fast as I can. Of course, most folks get a little scared as soon as I hit 100 miles per hour. My frame begins to shake a little, causing the driver to grasp my steering wheel as hard as possible. I don’t mind. It can be a blast.

Uber makes my driver’s life easy. Rather than strangers jumping right out into the road to stop me, they simply send me a message, not unlike a text. I know exactly where they are, thanks to the sophistication of today’s smartphones. Best of all, my driver never has to haggle over fairs or coming up a dollar short. Every customer’s information is saved in Uber’s system and the amount is automatically deducted. Of course, passengers can leave the driver a little something every now and then.

Then there’s the icing at the top of the cake. When my driver with a Parkland home for sale is happy with money to spend, I get treated to luxurious bubble baths, fruity perfumes and perhaps even a nice wax. I look brand new again. I smell delicious and I feel like a futuristic hover board floating in the clouds. I don’t ever want to go back to the Empire State after living in the sunshine.
