Made available to Aventura real owners in 2007, Traveling Wilburys – The Collection is ideal for true lovers of classic rock’s icons. Along with the band’s two previous CDs, the deluxe box-set comes with a DVD featuring a documentary and music videos, as well as a 16-page insert. The Collection includes the same merchandise, along with an extensive 40-page text, artist postcards, and photographs.

The DVD’s History of Traveling Wilburys exposes the magical union of the five artists.  The extraordinary line-up consisted of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and Jeff Lynne teamed up to make their first treasure. It shows them all gathering into a home to write and record in less than ten days. Viewers in homes for sale in Aventura catch their handwritten lyrics, bloopers, and the men discussing their sessions. The material seen is remarkable.

Better yet is the “Handle with Care” video displaying black and white photos of each musician as a child fading in and out as they work. “End of the Line” was shot shortly after Orbison’s death. As a result, the four performers on a moving train play next to an empty rocking chair holding an acoustic guitar, and a framed photo of him is shown while his lead vocal part is heard. After “She’s My Baby” and “Inside Out,” there’s the upbeat “Wilbury Twist” containing comedian John Candy in a small cameo. As an added bonus, the DVD’s booklet offers step-by-step instructions on how to dance the “Wilbury Twist.”

There are two editions of The Collection. The standard package comes in double Digital packaging with the crew’s two studio albums. Released in 1988, Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1 was extremely successful. The two popular singles, “Handle with Care” and “End of the Line” are unquestionably their best selections. The unfortunate death of Orbison in December of 1988 prevented further collaborations between each original member. There ceases to be a Vol. 2. Some consider Petty’s Full Moon Fever as the second LP, as Harrison, Orbison, and Lynne all lent a helping hand.

Another viewpoint is the second volume’s material was stolen like Mr. Harrison once claimed in front of the camera during an MTV interview. Continuing without the legend behind “Pretty Woman,” Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3 came out in 1990. But the cut was not nearly as hot as their premier LP. There is also a couple bonus tracks on each disc that was previously unavailable to the public. It just doesn’t get any more phenomenal than experiencing the Traveling Wilburys create their magic.

Originally, Orbison and Petty got together at an informal grouping at Dylan’s studio in Santa Monica to record an additional track as a B-side for Harrison’s “This Is Love.” The masterpiece created was “Handle with Care.” Of course, the record company immediately realized its brilliance and refused to put it on the market as filler tune. That’s how the Traveling Wilburys became a full band as Aventura luxury homeowners will always know them, even as the members pass on.
