Entertaining Marriage and Family Life for Homeowners

If you want to stay in your Palm City real estate and enjoy some films about marriage, I’ve got a few winners for you. For starters, there is 1989 hilarious flick directed by Ron Howard, Parenthood. The work stars Steve Martin as a memorable family man in the realistic portrayal of family life for four generations. Martin is a supportive little league coach that’s determined to be the best father possible. He dreams of his children growing strong and confident. Then there’s his incredible shrinking grandmother, his folks, brothers, sisters, nieces and a clueless new nephew, Keanu Reeves. On top of playing Nintendo, the philosophical granny compares the life of a parent to the ups and downs of an exhilarating roller coaster. While grandma is busy inhaling helium, Martin fills a gap as Cowboy Gil at his boy’s 9th birthday party.

“After I blow a hole in somebody and slip around on their guts, I always like to make balloon animals,” the character explains to his crowd. The funny guy proceeds to replicate one’s lower intestines out of party balloons. It’s a hilarious scene that only Mr. Martin could pull off. As seen in Parenthood, as well as the decade’s other comedy classics based on parenting, life is not all roses. But there are some sweet and hysterical moments that will stand any test of time.

In 2007’s I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Adam Sandler and Kevin James are a couple of straight firefighters in the Big Apple. Sandler is a stud with the ladies, as a calendar’s Mr. February gets it on with a handful of Hooters waitresses regularly. James is a grief-stricken widower who forgot to change his life insurance policy to benefit his children. They commit fraud, pretending to be gay men so James’ kids can reap the insurance benefits of a domestic partnership. The guys drive to Canada, get hitched, and must move in together and go to court to prove its authenticity. Reservoir Dogs’ Steve Buscemi is a government agent out to uncover the scandal, and Pulp Fiction’s Ving Rhames is the fellas’ coworker who comes out of the closet.

Another favorite among women with homes for sale in Palm City is 2009’s Bride Wars. The work is based on planning the best day of a girl’s life, her wedding. It certainly was supposed to be that way for Liv and Emma, a couple of little ladies who grew up together. The two plan, practice and dream of walking down the aisle of the luxurious Plaza Hotel in June. These days, Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are the women living in Manhattan. Everything is peachy when both of their men pop the big question. That is until New York’s most sought-after wedding planner, a smooth-talking Candice Bergen, books their ceremonies on the same summer day.

When the girls refuse to have a double-wedding and neither bride will budge, it becomes an all-out war. Bride Wars’ comical moments are supposed to be the evil little tricks that the two brides-to-be do to one another in the three-month preparation. Numerous Palm City luxury homeowners agree that Bride Wars is a modern classic.
