A group of various men and women in a friendly Fort Myers real estate book club just got together to discuss Clapton: The Autobiography. The casual gettogether took place at one of Martin Segal’s homes for sale in Fort Myers. Some Broward County residents and other people with Fort Myers homes for sale discussed the highs and lows of the book.

Dale Griffin, an outgoing member of the Fort Myers real estate book club, opened the discussion. He said that a historical rock star like Eric Clapton has numerous tales and compelling memoirs about life on the road throughout the last 40 years. He has sold tens of millions of albums and sold out amphitheaters around the world. Yet, the Englishman’s impressive career has entailed its fair share of youthful excesses full of heartbreak, sex and drugs. Members of the Fort Myers real estate book club were already enthralled.

Derek Thompson, another member of the Fort Myers real estate book club detailed the work’s early history. The Fort Myers luxury homeowner described Clapton’s birth to unwed parents in 1945. He was then raised by his English grandparents. In fact, Clapton was led to believe that his absent mother was his sister until he was 9 years old. The truth led the youngster to isolation and despair.

Members of the Fort Myers real estate book club discovered that the teenager’s only savior from abandonment was his faithful guitar. As he begins sharing some facets of his early career, the living legend comes across as modest. the Fort Myers real estate book club learned that he was ashamed, but remains grateful to his hardcore followers.

Jason Lyons, a professor who has recently become a member of the Fort Myers real estate book club explained how Clapton started off with the Yardbirds before moving onto Cream. He also had stints with Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie and Friends, as well as Derek and the Dominos and an incredibly successful solo career.

Jason told the Fort Myers real estate book club loves how well the man retraces his colorful steps. With poignant detail and humor, Clapton recounts stories of hanging out with Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan, along with playing as a guest alongside both the Fab Four and the Rolling Stones.

The Fort Myers real estate book club explored how the autobiography winds down in today’s setting. Roughly 70, he is now free from drugs and alcohol. Clapton is now the proud father of girls living just outside of London. Members of the Fort Myers real estate book club agree that the man is more than merely a rock star.

Clapton: The Autobiography will be issued with two different covers. The States’ cover of Clapton: The Autobiography is black, with striking red text and a bold signature.  Meanwhile, the U.K. edition features an elegant black and white photo of the man looking somber. Members of the Fort Myers real estate book club agree that Clapton is a timeless icon and his book will make for the perfect gift to any Slow Hand fan.
