Thousands of Kendall real estate owners who consider themselves fans of the Beatles are ecstatic that Sirius XM now offers a giant collection of the Fab Four’s recordings. The assortment includes the band’s releases, as well as their solo members’ works, interviews, stories on the Fab Fourum, and more.

The four musicians decided to change their name from the Quarry Men to The Silver Beatles for a few months before settling with the Beatles. John’s admiration for an American group, Buddy Holly, and the Crickets, sparked the idea of beetles into his head. The young musician decided to spell it Beatles to make it a pun, as in the insect, as well as a musical “beat.”

While just about every man, woman, and child in a home for sale in Kendall is familiar with the Beatles, not everyone knows the boys’ history. In the early 60s, the long-haired British boys played accepted notions of rock and roll and caused manic hysteria everywhere they were seen live. In 1965, the Beatles defied all the norms of popular music. The four articulate poets were inspired by everyone from Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Motown to German electronic composers and stringed instruments from India called sitars. The group experimented with rhythms and recording techniques and forever changed the public perception of rock stars.

The Beatles’ arrival on The Ed Sullivan Show made TV history, introducing the future leaders of the entertainment industry. In February of 1964, over 3,000 hysterical Beatlemaniacs greeted the Fab Four at New York’s Kennedy Airport, just prior to seventy-three million spectators watching the band’s debut on Sullivan. The Neilson ratings indicated that 43% of all TV sets in the country were tuned to Sullivan to witness John, Paul, George, and Ringo perform. It was reported that the crime rate amongst American teenagers dropped to virtually zero that night. Offering wit, love, youth, and happiness, the Beatles’ arrival in the States was instrumental in picking up the overall morale of the country, doctoring the culture with the second British Invasion. The ambitious boys from the British Isles were the most phenomenal thing to hit show business since the “talkies.”

The Beatles used the media in a remarkable fashion, possessing, and caressing their audience with quick wits on television, movies, the radio, and in printed interviews. The most popular, most covered, influential and enduring rock group of all time made rock and roll an artistic medium with recognizable images and idols. The music messiahs from Liverpool swept up the youthful hopes of entire generations.

The Fab Four’s impact on the twentieth-century was historical within societies all over the world. There was not one day in the latter half of the 1960s that there was not some kind of story about the Beatles on television, the newspaper or the radio. The baby boom generation went nuts over the band, buying literally millions of Beatles records.  The fellas were certainly wittier while singing more down-to-earth lyrics than preceding rock stars in America. As many Kendall luxury homeowners know, the Beatles wrote their own songs, painted pictures with lyrics, and expanding boundaries across the universe.
