Palm Beach Gardens real estate owners do not have to go out to a club and spend money to enjoy a fabulous time with their friends. All folks must do is watch a timeless comedian onstage to laugh for more than 60 minutes at a time. For example, stand-up acts simply do not get any better than Eddie Murphy.

The first film that can keep folks in homes for sale in Palm Beach Gardens laughing for more than an hour at a time is Eddie Murphy Delirious. Filmed in Washington D.C. in 1983, Delirious stands as the funniest live concert ever recorded. No subject is safe in the raunchy act. In fact, much of his material may be seen as too offensive these days when it comes to race and sexuality. Regardless, Eddie shines at his comical peak. Light years before political correctness, the confident and swaggering man who was later nominated for an Oscar was a charismatic, wonderfully offensive, and egocentric 22-year-old known for crude celebrity impersonations. Dressed in a skin-tight red leather suit, he often gives his audience the impression that his material is spontaneous, and no other comic could get away with the facial expressions used.

For 90 minutes, the man tells jokes for children to tell at school, discusses his shoe-throwing mother, racial politics and gives hysterical impersonations of Hollywood personalities, including Elvis, Mr. T, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and his mentor, Richard Pryor. There is also a divine impression of Bill Cosby, decades before the man became an enemy of the public. Eddie discusses personal anecdotes about the ice-cream man, relives his dysfunctional family barbecues, and offers games to play in the bathtub. “You can smell it.” Of course, the energetic man delivers an endless stream of obscenities, as he curses hundreds of times during his routine. Not even Coming To America can induce as much laughter in Palm Beach Gardens luxury homes as Delirious.

In 1987, Murphy was at the top of his game, releasing Raw to theaters all over the globe. While dating, marriage, and divorce are discussed in-depth, the most priceless scene is the flick’s introduction. It is Thanksgiving dinner at the Murphy home in 1968 and the kids are putting on a show for their relatives. A young Eddie, perhaps 8-years-old, tells a priceless joke about a lion and a monkey changing the weather with bodily functions. A young Samuel L. Jackson is an uncle that predicts the Hollywood big shot’s career, announcing “That boy’s got talent!”

Eddie goes on to discuss marriage and divorce, referring to Johnny Carson’s former wife who got $150 million from the talk show host. Eddie decides that he will travel to Africa in order to meet a nice lady who won’t take “HALF” of his belongings. There’s also a memorable impression of spectators seeing Rocky in the theater, as well his childhood memories of his mother making him a hamburger that was supposed to be “better than McDonalds.” Check it out and you’ll be laughing hysterically in no time.
