If there is one thing that Boynton Beach real estate owners appreciate it is their classic record collections. Nowadays, men and women take pride in their vast assortments of vinyl, ranging from the Beatles and Bob Dylan to Pink Floyd and the mighty Led Zeppelin. Let’s take a look at some other names included in property owner’s favorites.

Allan Katz is a retired businessman from Upstate New York. He still remembers when he purchased the Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash record, Class of ’55: Memphis Rock & Roll Homecoming. The work of art from 1986 pays tribute to Elvis, and the final song, “Big Train (from Memphis),” includes vocals by Creedence Clearwater Revival’s John Fogerty, The Judds, Dave Edmunds, Ricky Nelson, Sam Phillips, and June Carter Cash.

Then there is Allan’s daughter, Lucy. Growing up in the Seventies, Lucy has an undying love for disco. That’s why her favorite LP is 1983’s sequel to Saturday Night Fever, Staying Alive. It is an upbeat collection entailing five new songs by the Gibbs.  Including on the soundtrack are the hit “Woman in You,” the ballad “Someone Belonging to Someone,” “Breakout” and “Life Goes On.” No matter how Lucy is feeling when she walks into her home for sale in Boynton Beach, listening to the record always puts a smile on her face.

Lucy’s daughter, Marni, prefers more modern tunes, such as Sister Hazel’s fourth studio album, Chasing Daylight. It is a unique mix of rock, pop, country, and bluegrass from 2003.  Four guitarists and the unique metallic voice of the lead singer make the band and the album unique, including “Your Mistake,” “Come Around” and “Best I’ll Ever Be.”

Marni’s boyfriend, Sean, is confident that the greatest album ever made is U2’s The Joshua Tree.  In 1987, the work became the fastest-selling record of all time in the States and remains U2’s top money maker. The band’s fifth album started at No. 7 on U.S. charts and flew to No. 1 in both America and The U.K. at the same time, eventually selling more than 14 million copies. “With or Without You” became No. 1 on the singles charts for weeks, while “Bullet the Blue Sky,” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” and “Where the Streets Have No Name” all sold phenomenally well. Sean even saw U2 perform the full album live in Miami Gardens last month at Hard Rock Stadium.

Sean’s Father, Mark, has an older favorite. Mark’s most prized album is Blind Faith’s self-titled release. The English blues supergroup consisting of Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker, Steve Winwood and Ric Grech. They only released that one album in 1969. But the band helped to pioneer a fusion of rock and roll with the blues by reaching No. 1 on the charts and selling more than half a million copies within the first month of its release.

As you can clearly see, Boynton Beach luxury homeowners certainly appreciate quality records. That is only one of the many reasons why the residents are so cool.
