On June 2nd, fans of Raiders of the Lost Ark will be able to buy John Williams’ timeless Oscar and Grammy-nominated score for the movie on vinyl. It was put together by the famous London Symphony Orchestra, the same musicians who recorded the marvelous score for Star Wars. Kissimmee real estate owners will be able to purchase two records’ worth on 180-gram vinyl. The soundtrack will also come in a two-pocket gatefold jacket with memorable photographs and art from the flick. The pair of records will contain plenty of material from Bernie Grundman, the audio engineer who put together the original soundtrack.

Easily the most recognized number of the set for folks with homes for sale in Kissimmee is the famous “Raiders March.” There will also be more than a half an hour’s worth of previously unavailable songs and extended versions of familiar tunes on the vinyl collection.

Spielberg’s go-to-guy for soundtracks, John Williams has been creating fantastic scores for Hollywood pictures for more than 50 years. He has delivered some of the best and most recognized sounds for the most successful films in the industry, ranging from Jaws and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial to Jurassic Park and Harry Potter movies. His work has been recognized several times by the movie industry numerous Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, British Academy Film Awards, and even Grammy Awards on his resume.

The creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, teamed up with Jaws’ director to bring the ultimate escapade to the screen, 1981’s Raiders of the Lost Ark. Steven Spielberg sat on the script for years waiting to find the ideal actor for his film. Upon seeing the premiere of The Empire Strikes Back, Han Solo would play Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones, noted for his trademark bullwhip and fedora hat.

Harrison Ford is the brave archeologist, as well as a tweed-suited professor at the University of Chicago. The opening sequence of Raiders of the Lost Ark sets the movie’s tone perfectly. Indy is then hired by the U.S. government to beat the Nazis at locating the Ark of the Covenant, believed to still hold the Ten Commandments, found in an Egyptian excavation site. From the scientist being chased by a rolling boulder through a dark cave and confronting snakes with his ex-girlfriend Karen Allen, to unfastening the mystical Ark, Raiders of the Lost Ark is unquestionably one of the greatest adventures of all time.

Raiders of the Lost Ark has been considered the model adventure film over the past quarter-century.  They just don’t make them like they used to, without tens of millions in computer generated dinosaurs. There are also a few more beloved Indiana Jones installments, but none live up to the original. Adding the new soundtrack to Raiders of the Lost Ark to your Kissimmee luxury home will be a fabulous treat for every man, woman, and child that appreciates a little adventure. It doesn’t even have to be Halloween to put on a brown leather jacket, fedora, and carry around a mock whip to feel like the greatest adventurer in South Florida.
