Kathy Lee Reynolds is a middle-aged wife and mother who teaches piano lessons for a living. After all, music is her true passion. There is nothing that Kathy enjoys more than relaxing at her home every night and listening to some timeless pieces of vinyl, despite their lack of popularity. For example, she loves her Robert Goulet album, Without You. The 1964 records’ eternal material includes “Where Is the One,” “Sad Songs,” and “Where Are You.”

Another one of Kathy’s favorite works is Rising Force, the debut album released by guitar virtuoso Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Issued in 1984, the LP was a bit more well-known, as it reached #60 on the Billboard album chart, and receiving plenty of other recognition, including Guitar Player Magazine’s Best Rock Album.

Kathy’s business partner, Susan White, prefers to blast her home for sale in Boynton Beach with louder rock and roll, such as Van Halen’s Fair Warning.  Led by guitar god Eddie Van Halen and singer Diamond David Lee Rock, the boys were the undisputed kings of rock. Fair Warning is now considered a modern classic that captures the young and invigorated band at their peak with timeless rhythms, such as “Push Comes to Shove” and “So This Is Love.”

Speaking of Van Halen, Susan also digs the album that Sammy Hagar released before he replaced David Lee Roth as the vocalist. Hagar’s Three Lock Box is a solo cut from 1983 featuring appearances by Loverboy’s Mike Reno, Journey’s Jonathan Cain, and Mr. Mister’s Richard Page. The work is recognized for its great vocals and superb songwriting, as is the case with “Remote Love,” “In the Room” and “Rise of the Animal.”

Besides Van Halen and its number of revolving singers, Susan also loves listening to her record The Best of Spirit. Randy California and his band mates in Spirit brought jazz, blues, and classical into the psych-rock mix in the late 60s. Their 1973 Best of Spirit entails sixteen tracks to twist to while spending time in the California sun, reminiscent of the Beach Boys.

Susan also gets a kick out of Ten Years After’s Rock & Roll Music to the World from 1972. She claims that it is a union of smart song writing and tasty licks. The LP features “You Give Me Loving,” and “Turned Off TV Blues,” while it includes extensive sleeve notes and faithfully restored artwork.

Susan’s husband, Dave appreciates his wife’s collection. However, he has his own personal favorite records. For instance, Dave thinks that Steely Dan’s Countdown To Ecstasy from 1974 is timeless. Like another one of his favorites Led Zeppelin II, the work was written and recorded the year prior in rushed sessions between live concerts. The LP pushes the envelope with complex jazz harmonies and intricate time signatures. The songs entail “Boddhisattva,” a Zen boogie fueled bopping guitars and “My Old School,” in which college daze is remembered through a collision of staccato blazing horns.

There is no question that the men and women living in Boynton Beach luxury homes certainly appreciate their classic rock records.
