Oviedo Homeowners Look at Trump’s Nomination to Department of Housing

A majority of Oviedo real estate owners are concerned with our nation’s politics, as well as our president-elect Donald Trump. These same Oviedo real estate owners may be pleased to hear that Trump’s former opponent, retired surgeon Ben Carson was nominated to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) earlier this week. Carson accepted the offer.

Charles Johnson is a 51-year-old African American who owns several Oviedo homes for sale. Mr. Johnson was pleased to tell his friends and coworkers that Carson will be the very first African-American to work in a senior role at the new administration. In fact, the man was proud to post Carson’s photos all over his homes for sale in Oviedo.

Oviedo real estate owners listened to Trump’s words in a public statement. “Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities. We have talked at length about my urban renewal agenda and our message of economic revival, very much including our inner cities. Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a presidency representing all Americans. He is a tough competitor and never gives up.”

Numerous Oviedo real estate owners were pleased with Carson’s reply. Trump’s former opponent claimed to be honored to serve in the president’s upcoming administration. The Oviedo real estate owners listened as Carson said he will work extremely hard to make our community stronger. Many of the Oviedo real estate owners know Carson has plenty of work to do when it comes to housing in the United States, but have faith in him.

Of course, not every Oviedo real estate owner is pleased with Trump’s pick. In fact, many Oviedo real estate owners are downright optimistic. After all, Carson doesn’t know a thing about Oviedo real estate or the industry in general.

On the flip side, there are still folks with Oviedo luxury homes that have faith in Carson. They support his communication skills, along with his desire to help the needy. Several Oviedo real estate owners think Carson can improve the nation’s housing market.

“I want to congratulate Dr. Ben Carson on being chosen to be nominated as the Secretary of HUD,” said David H. Stevens, president and CEO of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), in a press release. “Housing is one of the largest contributors to the health and success of the overall economy, and, as such, we must continue to recognize its significance. MBA looks forward to working with Dr. Carson in helping to build out a well-rounded team of housing experts, with a deep technical understanding of the issues, at HUD, FHA and Ginnie Mae.”

With plenty of qualified politicians to head the Department of Housing and Urban Development under Trump, Ben Carson appears to be a strong choice among a handful of Oviedo real estate owners. Here at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty, we just hope that the South Florida real estate business continues to prosper.
