Date: First things first – you’ve got to decide on the date. Mid-November may be a great time to get the most clients to actual show.  If not, pick a date you think will work best for most people.

Size: Next, you need to decide just how big or small you want this party to be. If you are planning to invite just your top referrers, then a small upscale dinner venue may be best. On the other hand, if you want to invite all of your clients, it may call for drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Type: Depending on your budget, time, and preference, you may want to plan for a true party experience with drinks, finger foods, and band. Or, you may want to actually treat your clients with a sit-down meal, whether it is formal or casual. As soon as you decide, you will need to reserve a room before they are all booked.

Notify Clients: Since people’s schedules fill up fast during this time of year, be sure to send a “Save the Date” as soon as you have decided on the above few planning points. People need time to save space on their schedules so be sure to send these out several weeks in advance.

Solidify Details: Now it is time to party plan the details. Decorations, catering, entertainment, and similar details need to set and ready to go come party time.

Check RSVPs: Ten to seven days before the party, reach out to the clients who haven’t responded and request a response. You also may want to remind confirmed attendees with a message of anticipation about the upcoming event.

Enjoy: This party is meant to be a celebration so be sure to socialize and have fun with your clients. Thank each of them and be sure to mention that you would welcome their referrals.
