This Sunday night, Parkland real estate owners will be excited to see U2’s The Joshua Tree Tour in Miami Gardens Hard Rock Stadium. Of course, not every individual will gain the experience, as the outdoor show is sold out. At least men, women, and children can see the four Irishmen perform onstage with the DVD, PopMart Live from Mexico City.

Filmed outdoors at the Foro Sol Autodromo in the winter of 1997, the material comes with a brand new 5.1 surround mix in DTS and Dolby Digital of the event. A special limited-edition package with two discs contains several previously unreleased live audio and video tracks, a visual montage, and documentaries, including a piece on their favorite prop, the 4×4 foot lemon.

Folks in homes for sale in Parkland will see the U2 concert kick off with black and white footage of the musicians being escorted to their enormous stage by security. Bono is sporting a buzz cut under a hooded robe like a light weight boxer, along with giant sunglasses and a hand-painted shirt with defined muscles. The Edge wears black jeans, a vest and matching cowboy hat. Adam is wearing a camouflaged get-up, along with nerdy bifocals, a helmet and a mask over his mouth. Larry is the only chap dressed normal, wearing his usual sleeveless T-shirt.

The show is filled with new material with the U2 classics mixed into the set-list. Most noteworthy, Bono plays his own guitar during “Gone.” You make me feel so big he announces before “Even Better than the Real Thing.” A cartoon plays on the backdrop during “Last Night on Earth.” During “Until the End of the World,” Bono makes his way to a catwalk and twirls his instrument around himself in giant circles.

The crowd is the most receptive during the older singles, including “New Year’s Day,” “Pride (In The Name Of Love),” “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “Where The Streets Have No Name” and “With Or Without You.”

“Muchas, muchas gracias. Thanks for sticking with us,” Bono says to his thousands of listeners. He tells a story of the group’s image changing. Bono and the Edge go acoustic for an amazing two-man take of “Desire.” The frontman puts on military fatigues for “Bullet the Blue Sky.” Psychedelic swirls and an overweight belly dancer is on the monitor when an unidentified flying object slowly approaches the venue. It’s a mechanical lemon the pop stars emerge from to sing “Discotheque.” Following the highlight, “Mysterious Ways,” Bono pulls a lucky attendee up to dance with. A bonus disc contains older classic, such as “Where the Streets Have No Name” and “Mysterious Ways,” on top of their newer singles like “Discotheque” and the Batman Forever cut “Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me.”

Fusing dance, electronica, and the club world, 1997’s Pop’s corresponding PopMart tour was filled with extensive technology and hoopla. However, Parkland luxury homeowners are certain that PopMart may not compare to this weekend’s The Joshua Tree Tour in South Florida.
