Last night, U2 put on a magnificent show for South Floridians. Performing at their Joshua Tree Tour last night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, the four Irishmen were phenomenal. Of course, not every fan of the band was fortunate enough to get tickets to the sold-out show. Thousands of men and women living on Kendall real estate have to be content remembering their experience from U2’s Elevation Tour back in 2001.

Men and women still relive every vivid detail in their heads and describe the show is if they were still there. Dressed in black leather and The Fly’s trademark sunglasses, Bono led the Irish through “Elevation,” “Until the End of the World,” the epic “Beautiful Day,” and a matured arrangement of “Discotheque” on a heart-shaped stage. During “New York,” soft-screens were dropped down to project artful images on. The effect was not worth the obstruction of thousands in the stands. The crowd hollered the enthusiastic “No More” in the emotional “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” with a few lines from Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up” mixed in.

The singer then moved to an electric piano to sing “Sweetest Thing” to his daughter. The iconic frontman spoke intimately of his then-pregnant wife, Ally. Bono then introduced the famous drummer, Larry Mullen, Jr., “On the bass, smoking may be good for his health, Adam” Clayton. The Edge sported an old-school Miami Dolphins T. “Even his mother calls him ‘The Edge’,” Bono explained.

Just the Edge and Bono stood at the end of the stage during “In A Little While.” Thousands clapped as The Edge sang along with Bono. Still holding a long-stem yellow rose that someone in the crowd gave him, Bono sang “Angel of Harlem” supported solely by The Edge’s acoustic guitar. The fresh performance of Clayton’s accelerating bass line in “Where the Streets Have No Names” was a highlight of the night.

Kendall luxury homeowners can still picture Bono lying on his back to sing “Mysterious Ways.” The man must have been exhausted from dancing onstage all night. A fortunate lady was chosen to slow dance once his fatigue was overcome. Fans’ hearts sunk when they heard the slow intro, “You shine like a burning star falling from the sky” to an altered pace of “The Fly.”

During U2’s encore break, massive televisions played gospel music over videos. Bono returned, and shined a spotlight over the crowd during “Bullet the Blue Sky.” U2 briefly covered David Bowie’s “Young America” upon the song’s conclusion. Halfway through “With or Without You,” Bono chose a lucky girl to sing to, and kissed the flourishing woman’s hand as she exited the stage.

“Thank you for spending your hard-earned cash coming to a rock show,” Bono announced before he asked the familiar question, “Is it getting better, or do you feel the same?” It was “One.” Following 30 seconds of “Unchained Melody,” U2 concluded with “Walk On.” Folks with homes for sale in Kendall agree that the show set the stage for U2’s bright future.
