If there is one band that Weston real estate owners tend to agree upon, it is the Beatles. However, many of these men and women are too young to have seen them live. Fortunately, we have experienced our fair share of Beatles tribute acts performing in and out of South Florida.

In the 1970s, mainstream rock moved out of intimate club settings and into arenas, as imitation acts moved to restaurants and bars. Commonly recreated groups that folks with homes for sale in Weston could enjoy include Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and the Grateful Dead. While most imitators begin to push an original outfit, other crews play for easy money, which most music lovers hate to see. Some of these troupes are better than others. The most widely covered ensemble ever is the Beatles. The phenomenal music messiahs from Liverpool swept up the youthful hopes of entire generations for over three decades.

There’s no question that the Beatles were the single greatest power in popular music we have seen, helping people around the world find their hidden creative potential. There are several mimics of the Beatles that attempt to recreate the look and the feel of the Fab Four by wearing the wigs and full costumes. They try to play the music note for note. Spectators want to experience what it was actually like to see the Liverpool lads in a living, breathing environment.

According to an attorney who owns Weston homes for sale, a compulsory license allows an ensemble to recreate onstage a previously recorded song without getting the permission of the copyright holder. A group of musicians can then regularly perform imitations of popular singles. However, in order to record others’ material, the new artists would have to pay licensing fees to the copyright holders. Otherwise, the music will not be legal.

1964 The Tribute, a gang out of South Carolina, once ranked 167 out of the Top 200 money makers. They have played over three thousand live gigs in the last three decades. Both Backbeat from Ohio and Fabmania out of Delaware toured the nation. Austin, Texas featured the Eggmen. The Sun Kings hailed from Alameda, while the Fab Four performed in California. Australians experienced the Fabfour, while the Fab 4 played shows in Switzerland. The U.K. was home to Beatles tributes, such as the Fake Beatles, Backbeat Beatles, and the Upbeat Beatles. Liverpool Legends was once managed by Louise Harrison, sister of the late George.

People with Weston luxury homes often think the strangest of the performers is Beatallica. Born in Milwaukee, the act combined the harmonies and costuming of the Beatles with the hyper-speed of Metallica. Beatallica dressed more like the British in Sgt. Pepper uniforms, but maintained the screaming guitar and banging drums of the American heavy metal giants. They released two parody albums, A Garage Dayz Nite and The Grey Album. Both used to be free to download on their website, but could not be sold, as Sony/ATV Music owned the rights to most of the entire Fab Four catalog.
