What Weston Homeowners Like Best about South Florida

Some come for the weather, while other love the public school’s sports systems and others appreciate the retirement communities. Whatever the case may be, South Florida is one of the most beloved areas for men, women, and families throughout the United States. From West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale and Miami, discover some of the most appealing attractions in the area, including the marvelous homes now found on Weston real estate.

Jerry Mathews is a 22-year-old college student who grew up playing football. Since he was in elementary school, Jerry always dreamed of being the quarterback of the University of Miami. After a terrible injury to his knee in high school, Jerry was heartbroken. That’s when he decided to become a sports therapist. At least he could still participate in the game, even if it was from the sidelines. Rather than move into an apartment down in Coral Gables, Jerry decided to find an affordable home for sale in Weston. Sure, the drive to UM can be time-consuming, but it is worth it for all the money he saves on his mortgage. Go Canes!

Not unlike Jerry, Sue Watkins recently purchased a Weston home for sale. The professional businesswoman and mother of two sons was excited to live out west, simply for the money she saved. Despite how much Sue loves the beach, the cost of housing around A1A was simply too much for the single mother. However, now that Sue and the boys are out west, they can live with all the comforts they would ever want or need. For instance, the kids have always wanted an outdoor swimming pool in their backyard with a diving board, but it just wasn’t in their mother’s budget. That is no longer the case now that the family is living out west.

Henry Baker is a 41-year-old executive who owns a travel agency in Winnipeg, Canada. For years, Henry’s wife has been trying to convince him to sell the business so they could move to the States. After 15 years or so of nagging, Henry finally gave in. The Bakers relocated to Broward County. These days, Henry goes to work at least five days a week, while his better half enjoys her time sunbathing. Sure, she still has to drive the kids to school and clean the house, but Mrs. Baker has no complaints since the family relocated to Weston.

Julie Rose is a retired school teacher who just moved into a Weston luxury home with her husband, a retired pilot with Delta Airlines. For decades, the couple has been working in Upstate New York to provide for themselves, as well as their children. Now that they have reached their seventies, the Roses decided it’s time to move down south and enjoy the sunshine. Now Julie spends her days at the pool, playing cards with her neighbors, while her husband is on the golf course. In the evenings, the retirement community hosts social events, such as square dances, bingo games, and trivia night. Needless to say, the Roses love spending their golden years in South Florida.
