Next week, thousands of Weston real estate owners will be in tears from laughing. After all, veteran comic Chris Rock will be appearing onstage on March 29th and 30th at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. While the funnyman has certainly earned a name for himself in the entertainment business over the last few decades, he still owes a lot of his success to his predecessors. Fortunately, you can now see what I am talking about on DVD.

True, his legacy has recently been plagued with accusations and lawsuits, but it doesn’t get any funnier than Bill Cosby Himself, released on video in 1983. Besides children’s favorite answer to any question, “I don’t know,” the best act is his portrayal of talkative dentists. He imitates their melting faces and attempts to spit in the doctor’s miniature toilet bowl. The timeless routine was still used on Cosby’s stop at Hard Rock Live about a decade ago.

Sharing the reign with only Cosby Himself, Eddie Murphy Delirious stands as the funniest live concert to many folks with homes for sale in Weston. Filmed in Washington DC, no subject is safe in 1983’s raunchy and brilliant act. Eddie’s talent shines at his comical peak. Light years before political correctness, the confident and swaggering man was a charismatic, wonderfully offensive, and egocentric 22-year-old. Dressed in a skin-tight red leather suit, he often gives his audience the impression that his material is spontaneous with priceless facial expressions. For 90 minutes, the man tells jokes for children to tell at school, discusses his shoe-throwing mother, racial politics and gives phenomenal impersonations of Hollywood personalities, including Elvis, Mr. T, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and his two mentors, Cosby and Richard Pryor.

In 1987, Murphy was at the top of his game, releasing Raw to theaters all over the globe. While dating, marriage, and divorce are discussed in-depth, the most priceless scene is the flick’s introduction. It’s Thanksgiving dinner at the Murphy home in 1968 and the kids are putting on a talent show for their relatives. A young Eddie, perhaps 8-years-old, tells a priceless joke about a lion and a monkey changing the weather with bodily functions. A young Samuel L. Jackson is an uncle that predicts the big shot’s career, announcing “That boy got talent!” People with Weston homes for sale are sure to love it.

The late great Robin Williams Live at the Met from 1986 can find it easily enough at Amazon for a few dollars. Williams questions male genitalia if it could be called up as a witness in divorce court. Fortunately, the man’s Live on Broadway from 2002 can be found easily enough. The trickster with piercing blue eyes imitates everyone from Texans to Canadians and Scots. Subjects examined entail silicone implants, figure skating, and the gay mafia. Mork explains that Keith Richards is “the only man who can make the Osbournes look like the Osmonds.” The most memorable scene entails a woman’s view of how a man looks just before he starts snoring. It’s all hysterical.
