When selling a home, you don’t want it to sit on the real estate rolls for too long. Windermere FL real estate properties need to move on and off the listings of homes for sale in Windermere FL or you can expect to have to drop the selling price. That’s the last thing a home seller wants to do.

Taking this into account, Realtor.com analyzed millions of its listing records over a three-month period to determine exactly which homes generated the most interest and sold. This was based the number of days a home listing was on the market and how many page views it garnered.

Although it is difficult to know for certain what caused one home to sell over another, patterns were seen in the different homes causing these experts to offer the following conclusions.

Granite and Stainless Steel Are Turning into Classic Fixtures

Classics are built over time and it seems that the use of granite and stainless steel in kitchen remodels are becoming a staple in the desires of home buyers. Homes with stainless-steel appliances sell 15 percent faster than average homes.

Many millennial home buyers are including these two features as must-haves, although the styles and colors may vary.  In fact, home designers are predicting black stainless steel to be the newcomer in the kitchen for 2016, replacing the color reflective silver stainless steel that has become so popular.

Two-Thousand Square Feet

It may be the price or the cost of having to maintain, but the homes listed online that get the most views are those that include enormous amounts of square footage. But these mega-homes with 8,000 square feet are not the ones that sell.

Homes that sell the fastest are the ones that are listed with between 1,500 square feet and 2,000 square feet. Examiners found 8,000 square foot homes received 30 percent more views than 1,000 square foot homes, but homes between 2,000 and 1,500 square feet moved off the market in 86 days. Three bedrooms, two bathroom homes are still the residences most people are seriously looking for and end up buying. The mega-homes seem to be just a curiosity click, and may just fuel the dream of home ownership.

$200,000 – $250,000 is the Right Price

Taking national averages into account, it seems that the $200,000 price range is about the right price to get a home to move. Home priced between $200,000 and $250,000 sold on average in 83 days. This time is significantly faster than any other price range.

Homes in the million-dollar range hung in the real estate market a bit longer. Approximately 133 days is the time it takes to sell a $2 to $5-million-dollar home.
