There are thousands of baby boomers living in Sun City Center real estate who are die hard Rolling Stones fans. True collections mention 2005 as an unbelievable year for releases. For example, Rolling Stones Rarities 1971-2003 is made up of sixteen unique mixes, live recordings, and unique demo versions. Decades worth of toys in the attic were approved by the Stones themselves, including a handful of blues archives and rare B-sides.

In an alternative take of “Beast of Burden” performed live, Mick ad-libs the closing lyrics, “I don’t want you to come into my kitchen.” The Delta Blues’ phrase is borrowed from the 1930’s Robert Johnson’s “Come in My Kitchen,” not unlike the poetic expression heard on Zeppelin II’s vivid “Lemon Song.” Speaking of covering the classics, Rarities includes Howlin’ Wolf’s “Wish I’d Never Met You,” Chuck Berry’s “Let It Rock” live, and Muddy Waters’ “Mannish Boy.” Adding a harmonica, Mick tells female listeners that he can make love to them “in an hour’s time,” rather than Muddy’s legendary “five minutes’.”  Aint that a man?

The Stones perform live versions of 1963’s “I Just Wanna Make Love to You,” the timeless ballad, “Wild Horses” and “Live with Me.” Most noteworthy is an alternative performance with a hand clapping and a piano in “Tumbling Dice,” along with “Mixed Emotions,” a fresh take of “Harlem Shuffle,” and an 8-minute dance cut of the Stones’ first 12-inch single, “Miss You.” Guitarist Keith Richards supplies vocals on the psychedelic-pop number “Anyway You Look at It,” as well as on a live recording of “Thru and Thru,” from a soundtrack of The Sopranos. Rolling Stones Rarities 1971-2003 offers complete satisfaction.

Released the same year, people with homes for sale in Sun City Center can easily find the biographical film, Stoned, online at any retail store or rental service. It is the memorable and somewhat disturbing tale of the corrupt Brian Jones, the guitarist who co-founded the Rolling Stones in the 60s.

Director and producer Stephen Woolley brings the dramatic Stoned into the living rooms of music loving moviegoers. Following ten years of research of witnesses’ written memoirs and testimonials on the deceased rock star, Stoned accurately portrays the controversial events surrounding the death of the drug-addict. The young man was ostracized and eventually fired from his band due to drug problems and ongoing legal troubles. Epstein was only 27-years-old when he was fired in the summer of 1969, and found dead at the bottom of his mansion’s swimming pool shortly after.

Stoned focuses on a relationship that Jones forged with a newly hired construction worker, Frank Thorogood, played by Paddy Constantine. The film’s soundtrack entails superb covers of Stones material by today’s English acts, such as A Band of Bees and Little Barrie. Stoned also achieves a documentary feel, due to the man’s vivid flashbacks and concert footage captured with a hand-held 16 mm camera. Folks in Sun City Center luxury homes will be surprised by the legendary musician’s untimely and mythical death by misadventure.
