On February 26th, men and women with Boca Raton homes for sale would love to see Denzel Washington take home another Academy Award for the Best Actor in a leading role for his brilliant work as an actor and director in 2016’s Fences. The two-time winner that took him gold for his work in both Glory and Training Day portrays Troy Maxson, a grumpy old man in 1950s Pittsburgh.

Fences has received nominations for plenty of other awards, including the Oscar’s Up Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay. Perhaps that’s why it is named as One of the best pictures of the year in numerous publications and websites. Fences has received fantastic reviews and has already earned more than $50 million.

I’m sure you’ve heard by now that the star power behind 2007’s American Gangster doesn’t live up to its expectations. Fortunately, Denzel Washington and his phenomenal acting carry the entire picture. The Oscar winner portrays Frank Lucas, a real-life heroin kingpin in the late 1960s and early 70s from Harlem. Russell Crowe is Richie Roberts, a cop with a Star of David hanging around his neck. The honest detective tries to stop the H from being smuggled inside coffins on American service planes returning from the Vietnam War.

Denzel goes straight to the source by eliminating any middleman between him and the supplier. As a result, the man is able to supply a much more potent product for an even smaller price. From the get-go, we see the ruthless killer in Denzel not hesitate, even in broad daylight.

Frank rationalizes his employment by pointing out the drug enforcement profession. He is proud to state that 100,000 people would be out of jobs if dope smuggling ever ceased.  Besides, a high percentage of the fuzz is on the take to begin with. In the film’s background, viewers in Boca Raton Florida real estate condos catch a few pieces of history. Not only is the war going on in Nam, but a couple of Muhammad Ali’s fights take place as well.

Viewers watching on their Boca Raton real estate are reminded of Nino Brown in 1991’s New Jack City when they see the dealer passing out turkeys during Thanksgiving. He never gets high on his own supply. You’ll think of Wesley Snipes again when the lord’s employees are seen mixing the goods in the nude. This way, there are no pockets for the staff to tempt themselves with a taste.

Director Ridley Scott, the artist behind modern classics such as Alien, Blade Runner, and Gladiator cast himself in a small cameo as a gentleman hanging at a bar. He raises his glass and toasts it with Denzel. Crowe delivers nothing to the lifeless role, nor does Cuba Gooding Jr. as a flashy dealer, or any of the female costars.

There is no question that Denzel’s superb charisma behind the camera is the only thing that keeps spectators in their Boca Raton waterfront real estate interested for almost three hours, even up to the true story’s heartwarming conclusion.
