Boca Raton real estate owners certainly appreciate high-quality filmmaking, as well as extraordinary music. That’s why a dozen or so friends meet once a week in a Boca Raton homes for sale to watch a fantastic film. Most recently, the Boca Raton real estate owners viewed and discussed Martin Scorsese’s timeless concert piece, Woodstock: The Director’s Cut.

Brad Baker is a 48-year-old executive with a home for sale in Boca Raton. He opened the discussion by telling the other Boca Raton real estate owners a little about the film. Apparently, when it comes to music DVDs, it just doesn’t get any better than 1970’s Woodstock: The Director’s Cut, immortalizing the historical festival.

All of the Boca Raton real estate owners watched Jimi Hendrix’s riveting “Star Spangled Banner,” on top of several other phenomenal acts, including the Who, Janis Joplin, Joe Cocker, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Brad told the other Boca Raton real estate owners that not even Monterey Pop, Lollapalooza or Live 8 can measure up to the 200,000 attendees at the event.

Viewers in Brad’s Boca Raton luxury home appreciated the brilliant edits by none other than Mr. Martin Scorsese himself, director Michael Wadleigh chronicles Woodstock’s legendary artists, while capturing the festivals loving atmosphere. A split screen entitled “The Bodies Beautiful” shows men and women swimming, bathing and playing as a group in a lake displaying one concert-goers message, “Everybody’s free.”

A member of the Boca Raton real estate owners laughed when a stage crew setting up before a monstrous crowd is seen. At the same time, the second box displays an announcer warning spectators of bad acid that is circulating. One Boca Raton real estate owner compared Woodstock’s generation and culture to his parents’ when a naked couple plays in tall grass onscreen.

The Boca Raton real estate owners were impressed that all of the attendees at Woodstock were kind and helpful to one another, unlike the 1990s’ festivals.  Meanwhile, the Boca Raton real estate owners learned that Woodstock took nine months of planning, while the politics were the coordinators’ biggest hassle. Yet, every man and woman at the meeting thinks the work was well worth the effort.

Brad pointed out to the other Boca Raton real estate owners that Arlo Guthrie’s “Coming into Los Angeles” is heard, as different folks are seen singing and dancing.  While the credits roll in the conclusion, Crosby, Still, Nash and Young’s “Woodstock” is played over footage of audience members leaving the three days of love and peace.

The Boca Raton real estate owners agree that the movie’s sound and widescreen multi-image picture are superb. The film won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature and was nominated for both Best Sound and Best Film Editing in 1971. This is decades before Martin Scorsese delivered Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, The Departed or Wolf of Wall Street to the world. He made movies about Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones as well. Woodstock is a time capsule, as well as a divine work of art.
