Get ready to “Fall Back” and change your clocks!
Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 AM, Sunday, November 1st which means you will need to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed Saturday night, October 31st.
It wasn’t until Aug. 8, 2005 that we got our current timetable for Daylight Saving Time. President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act on that day, setting the official end time for DST as the first Sunday in November. From 1986-2006, Daylight Saving Time began on the first Sunday in April and ended on the last Sunday in October.
Did you know that Hawaii and most of Arizona do not follow DST?
When daylight savings time ends this weekend you can actually gain the benefit of an extra hour. We’ll set the clocks back one hour on Sunday and yet our body clocks will still be on Saturday’s rhythm. Instead of waking up at 7 a.m. it will actually be 6 a.m. For the next 126 days you have been given an additional 60 minutes for whatever you want.
