Are you looking to stay in your Aventura real estate and be entertained, as well as educated? If so, all you really need is the right dramatic film from roughly a decade ago. For starters, director Robert De Niro stars with Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie in The Good Shepherd, released in 2006. The raging bull’s intelligent drama about spies is viewed through the prism of one man’s life. Damon is Edward Wilson, a discreet individual with more than a pretty face.  The character appreciates secrecy as an ongoing commitment to honor, despite being the sole witness to his father’s death. The optimist took the value with him to Yale.

At school, Wilson is recruited to join the secret society, Skull and Bones, a brotherhood for the globe’s future figureheads. His sharp head and sincere belief in American society, combined with his immaculate record and reputation make him a first round pick for a career in intelligence. When WWII breaks out, he is recruited into the OSS, the precursor to the Central Intelligence Agency. Wilson’s office gradually begins to suffer from Cold War paranoia. His ideals soon follow. Eventually, he trusts no one and sacrifices everything, including his immediate family members. The individual molds himself into one of the Agency’s veteran operatives, while combating his KGB counterpart. However, a gentleman’s sturdy dedication to his career and his country comes at an ever-increasing price in The Good Shepherd.

Spectators in homes for sale in Aventura can then enjoy Goya’s Ghosts, released the same year. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’s renowned director Milos Forman delivered the true epic Goya’s Ghostst. Stellan Skarsgard portrays Francisco Goya, the famous Spanish painter of timeless portraits during the French Revolution in 1792. He appears well-aged and a bit chubby in the picture as he paints a spitting image of the young Inés, played by Natalie Portman. But the maiden is soon arrested. Inés is brutally tortured into giving a false confession and is left to perish in the dungeons for 15 years. When her father begs Goya for help, the artist turns to Brother Lorenzo for assistance.

The highlight of the film is when Inés’ father has Goya and Lorenzo as dinner guests. Lorenzo defends the Inquisition, arguing that if she is innocent, God will give her the strength to deny guilt, despite the pain. However, when the host and his sons torture the man until he signs a statement confessing to being a monkey, they prove him wrong. But the event does not set Inés free. Rather, it merely gets Lorenzo banished to France.

Fifteen years pass, and the Inquisition is abolished, setting the prisoners free. After regaining power in France, Lorenzo sends Inés to a mental asylum. Goya bribes an official for her release. Soon, the English conquered the French troops and sentence Lorenzo to death. His body is carried off, escorted by Inés and their baby. Folks in Aventura luxury homes agree the flick has superb acting, phenomenal costumes, and eccentric set-designs. The historical Goya’s Ghosts will haunt your mind.
