Aventura real estate owners who appreciate the Fab Four should check out The Unseen Beatles release on DVD from 2008. The film entails a legendary show in Jersey, a photo gallery, and its greatest feature, a selection of seven extended interviews. Dozens of black and white stills are shown of the fellas. Some are posed, while others of live shots onstage and there’s a handful are photos of them caught off-guard. The Beatles in Jersey is an old color home video from the 1960s. As usual, viewers catch the four youngsters acting goofy. We see them boarding a flight and sunbath in skimpy shorts. We even meet a cute brown puppy they pick up.

Journalist Larry Kane, author of Ticket to Ride, shared the most colorful stories. He relives a hectic flight from Minneapolis to Portland when he noticed that an engine caught on fire.  It turns out that the pilots were busy “having scotch and soda with the Beatles.” They made a “precautionary landing.” All four musicians kept their charm despite their traumatic position. “I’m going to heaven with Buddy Holly anyway,” declared John. And Kane recalls George’s sense of humor shining on. “Remember if anything should happen,” he said, “its Beatles and children first.” Fans of my generation immediately think of the same “emergency landing” scenario fictionalized in Almost Famous.

After earning unbelievable access on their 1964 first US tour, he traveled through two-dozen cities in thirty-three days with the Beatles. The trek through the US made them the four most famous lads in the world. Thousands of fans rushed the stage every night and it became a bit frightening. But John would always play practical jokes on the journalist just to break up the stress.

A promoter named Andi Lothian describes the sheer pandemonium that “Love Me Do” brought to Europe in 1962. Then he talks about staging ten historic Beatles concerts in Scotland in January of the next year. The depressing tour was a disaster with less than 100 spectators at an event. Most of them were drunken males. Interestingly, Lothian brings up Brian Epstein’s overwhelming authority. Allan Williams, the Beatles manager before Epstein, relives the boys’ shows in Liverpool. He explains how Yankees in the Navy would bring over rock and roll records that soon changed their English culture.

Folks with homes for sale in Aventura will appreciate when Road Manager, Tony Bramwell recaps on the show at Shea Stadium in 1965. The Beatles broke all records for rock-show attendance, attracting over 55,600 people. It was the best event ever as far as excitement, but the all-time worst for listening to live music.  The crowd was mostly children and few drove to the ballpark. The tickets at Shea were $5.75 apiece. It was not like seeing a Mets game or a concert these days in Queens, as there was no partying or tailgating outside the venue, nor were there any type of vendors. Sheridan contests that both boys and girls were screaming so loud that he couldn’t hear the Beatles whatsoever, but simply attending the historical event was momentous enough. I am sure it was for Aventura luxury homeowners.

Kane sums up the whole experience when he explains what Brian Epstein told him in 1964, “The children of 2000 will be listening to the Beatles.”
