There are thousands of men, women, and children residing in Palm Beach Gardens real estate will adorable dogs that they simply cannot imagine living without. After all, puppies are known for giving unconditional love, regardless of an owner’s looks, annual income, religious views, or even his or her body odor. Let’s take a look at a couple of the most fabulous stories about fur babies now living in Palm Beach County.

To start, there is Taco. The giant bull terrier lives with Tom and Kerry in a small 2-bedroom house near the beach. Well, Taco loves the beach, even if she isn’t allowed on the sand. One night when Taco was still a puppy, Tom and Kerry made the mistake of taking the dog for a quick walk on the sand. She was immediately amused, running in circles, and digging up sand. They even took her leash off. Then Taco ran into the water and began barking. Tom had to catch the canine before he got into trouble. Ever since that memorable evening when Taco visited the beach, she tries desperately to go back. In fact, she knows when her owners are on their way simply because Ted packs his surfboard. Then she begins howling until the car pulls out of the driveway. When Tom returns several hours later, Taco is still crying extremely loud. It’s a good thing the neighbors don’t mind. And every once in a while, when Kerry is sleeping in the middle of the night, Tom sneaks his best friend back to the Atlantic Ocean for a quick dip in the water.

While stories don’t get much funnier than Taco’s tale, there is also Pooky. The American Eskimo’s owners, Matt and Dana, weren’t looking for a dog when they spotted her in a window. In fact, they had just bought their first home for sale in Palm Beach Gardens together and the last thing the newlyweds needed was another mouth to feed. But that white puppy’s face with the giant black eyes was enough to make the couple fall in love immediately. Matt and Dana purchased Pooky and brought him home that very same night. At first, the dog was named Pooh, as in Winnie the Pooh. But Dana quickly became embarrassed every time she yelled “Good Pooh” or “Bad Pooh” at her community playground. That’s when Matt decided to change Pooh’s name to Pooky, an idea he got from Garfield’s teddy bear, a cartoon strip he used to read as a kid.

The funniest thing Pooky ever did took place one morning when Dana let him out to do his business. Pooky saw an opportunity and seized it. The dog dashed past the property of his Palm Beach Gardens luxury home, up the neighbor’s driveway, through their dog flap, and right up to the kitchen table where the neighbors were having breakfast. Pooky actually grabbed a piece of toast! Fortunately, the incident was too funny for the neighbors to hold a grudge. At least they learned to lock their doggie door during meal times.
