Plenty of Stuart real estate owners love the Fab Four and have plenty of Hollywood flicks featuring individual Beatles. Jumping back decades to the 1981 spoof of prehistoric times, Caveman, Ringo plays the smallest and weakest one in his tribe. The character gets banished into the wilderness for having a crush on the chief of the tribe’s busty mate. Starr eventually forms his own tribe of misfits, including Dennis Quaid and Shelley Long. The group discovers fire, cooking eggs, music making and standing up straight. Caveman is immature and its jokes are far from clever. Regardless, Ringo’s comedy brings smiles to thousands.

While no other movie on John’s career compares to the quality of either Imagine or The Beatles Anthologies, there are over one dozen films about the legend on the market.  1969’s Sweet Toronto captures John, Yoko and the Plastic Ono Band playing at the Peace Festival in Canada. The DVD remains Lennon’s only filmed performance with the whole group. Another picture, Sweet Toronto / Keep on Rockin,’ features classic footage of the same event, including the Plastic Ono Band playing with special guests Eric Clapton and Bo Diddley.

The year 2000’s release, Gimme Some Truth: The Making of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ Album, documents the man’s most celebrated solo album. Incorporating footage from the original “Imagine,” this film provides a taste of John’s lifestyle, showing run-ins with Andy Warhol, Miles Davis, and Jack Nicholson to Stuart luxury homeowners.

In His Life is a biographical film released the same year that explores John’s rise to fame in the 1950s and 1960s. Played by Philip McQullen, the young artist gives up proper schooling in pursuit of becoming a professional musician. The poet’s path is traced as he meets numerous artists before stumbling upon the other three Beatles.

Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey hosts Come Together: A Night for John Lennon’s Words and Music. The all-star concert was broadcast live in 2002 from Radio City Music Hall as an extravagant tribute to New York City in the wake of the previous year’s tragic events. Singing guests sang include Stone Temple Pilots, Alanis Morrissette, Cyndi Lauper, and Marc Anthony.

Folks with homes for sale in Stuart call also see The Messenger. The 2002 film documents John’s career after the Beatles, but provides no new information to spectators. However, Inside John Lennon: Unauthorized, released the following year, offers something different by including interviews with rare subjects, including John’s sister and members of his earlier group, the Quarrymen.

Lennon Legend, a DVD released in 2003, displays the Beatle’s timeless influences on the world’s mass media with twenty video classic clips, including “Imagine” and “Instant Karma.” Two years later, the John Lennon: Music Box Biographical Collection retold his life story using rare archived series of shots. Timeless Portrait, yet another sketch honoring his career and legacy, was stocked in stores in 2006. Finally, The U.S. vs. John Lennon, hit stands in 2006 as well, examines the man’s involvement in anti-war efforts and the U.S. government’s attempts to silence him. Yoko even collaborated on the making of the controversial film.
