There is no doubt that a person can find thousands of different dogs and cats living on Melbourne / Space Coast real estate. Besides canines and felines, there are plenty more pets that can be found in homes, apartments, and condos throughout the area. While you might find some of the animals to be adorable, others may make you shiver.

Hank Levine is a 38-year-old health insurance rep who has always had a deep love for reptiles. When he was a little boy, Hank had many lizards living in an aquarium in his bedroom. When he got a little older, Hank graduated up to a ball python. He loved feeding “Monty” a live mouse every 4 weeks. Hank used to walk around her home with the snake wrapped around his neck. Of course, he once lost the python by falling asleep on the couch. When Hank woke up the next morning, it was gone. He spent days searching for the reptile but had no luck. At least the family didn’t have to worry about mice running around their home.

Jerry Davis is a 51-year-old businessman who recently purchased a beautiful home for sale in Melbourne / Space Coast. Growing up near the ocean, Jerry has always had a love for exotic looking fish. That’s why the man ordered an octopus named Fred from New Zealand. Of course, Jerry recently left the lid open on Fred’s jar when it was being cleaned and forgot to close it. In the middle of the night, the critter slid out. From there, Fred must have slid all the way to the bathtub more than 10 feet away, never to be seen again. Fred is most probably living in the sewers somewhere outside of Jerry’s home. Maybe they should remake Clint Eastwood’s 1979 flick Escape from Alcatraz as a comic book version with Fred as the star.

Forget the reptiles, because a pet bunny may steal your heart. A retired 68-year-old homeowner named Pat Neuman has the ability to hypnotize his pet rabbit. All he does is apply the right amount of pressure while massaging certain parts of his pet’s body, like its stomach. The rabbit then becomes so relaxed that he lays still on his back with all four of his feet facing up and his eyes rolled back. It is truly a sight to see.

If you really want to laugh, you should check out Petey the parrot. The bird lives in a Melbourne / Space Coast luxury homeowner by a 33-year-old nurse practitioner named Sarah Jones. All Sarah has to do is ask Petey is he wants to be scratched, and he will immediately pick up one foot to stroke his own forehead. “That’s a good Petey,” Sarah will say, and the bird will begin to bite his own toes as if he is patting himself on the back. Or maybe he is simply sharpening his nails for his next back scratch.

All any reader can see, you don’t need to have a dog or a cat in your home to experience a pet’s priceless personality.
