There are literally thousands of families that sit up at night and spend quality time together in front of the television. Together they laugh at outrageous comedies, scream at Halloween’s horror flicks, and even cry at the sad love stories that are aired by their satellite providers. Let’s take a look at what is being viewed inside Boynton Beach real estate.

The Carters are a beautiful family of five that recently purchased a home for sale in Boynton Beach. The poor father never seems to get any peace and quiet, as he lives with his wife and three teenage daughters. Doh! The father enjoys comedies, but the girls all have their hearts set on love stories. Thankfully, dad came up with a compromise; Young Doctors in Love.

If you used to be hooked on General Hospital, you’ll be able to recognize the characters in their cameo appearances, Young Doctors in Love is brilliant. The film is an underrated and delightful comedy from 1982 that offers some spine-tickling sight-gags.  Directed by Happy Days and Pretty Woman’s Garry Marshall, the parody of TV hospital dramas has an impressive cast. Dabney Coleman, Harry Dean Stanton, Sean Young, Spinal Tap’s Michael McKean, and Michael Richards, a.k.a. Seinfeld’s Kramer playing an unsuccessful hit-man for the mob, keep audiences laughing throughout the piece.

In the team of young doctors interning at a hospital, one is an overworked speed junkie. Another is a gifted surgeon with a secret fear of cutting through the skin, while one nurse roller-skates from room to room. And Dr. Brody suffers from mysterious pain spasms. There is even a cross-dressing mobster who gets involved in an affair with an unsuspecting physician. The script contains sharp dialogue, despite the childish visual jokes and pieces of slapstick throughout the movie. All in all, the “no-brainer” is a never-ending stream of ludicrous, irreverent jokes that come across as purely entertaining. In the tradition of Airplane! and The Naked Gun, Young Doctors in Love is a hilarious DVD you should take advantage of. You and your entire family will be laughing out loud.

Later, dad made another compromise. Sticking to the Halloween spirit, he turned on the thrilling comedy So, I Married an Axe Murderer. Mike Myers is a paranoid bachelor named Charlie that finds excuses to dump any eligible woman. He is also a poet who performs in San Francisco’s clubs and on a rooftop. “Hey Jane, get me off this crazy thing called love,” he says.  He just might’ve found Ms. Right, if his ax-murdering delusions don’t turn out to be real. The film’s most side-splitting feature is Charlie’s Scottish father, a rude and loud-mouthed lush. The old man may even give a boy a complex due to “the size of that boy’s noggin.” Oscar winner Alan Arkin is a kind-hearted Police Chief, Michael “Kramer” Richards stars as an insensitive reporter, and the late Phil Hartman is a hilarious tour guide at Alcatraz. So, I Married an Axe Murderer is hilarious.

Which movie will you put on for Halloween in your Boynton Beach luxury homes?
