Let’s say you live in a piece of Fort Lauderdale real estate, then you get to venture everywhere from Miami Beach to West Palm to enjoy live music. And October is looking to be a fantastic month for concertgoers of all ages and genres. Let’s take a look at some of the most notable shows coming to town.

For starters, men and women living in homes for sale in Fort Lauderdale who appreciate heavy metal guitar will get a kick out of Zakk Sabbath in their hometown’s Culture Room on Thursday, October 12. Ozzy Osborne’s former guitarist Zakk Wylde will be handling vocals, along with his axe. Along with bass player Blasko and Joey C on drums, Zakk will relive his former band’s material on his current tour on the continent, as well as one appearance in Brazil in November. The last time South Floridians got to see the guitar virtuoso onstage was with Buddy Guy at the Experience Hendrix Tour last year at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, and Wylde was phenomenal.

On Saturday, October 14, Scorpions and Megadeth will perform their Crazy World Tour at BB&T Center in Sunrise. Playing for more than 50 years, Scorpions remain as iconic and influential as ever. The band has spent the last year playing enormous festivals around the globe, along with a “Blacked Out in Vegas” residency. Co-headlining the bill with Scorpions for the first time, thrash metal icons Megadeth will have thousands of heads banging as well. After being dismissed from Metallica, guitarist Dave Mustaine and bass player David Ellefson created the group in 1983. The Grammy award winners are known for discussing war, politics, and religion in their songs.

Of course, not every South Floridian wants to headbang. Fortunately, the dub and reggae sounds of Thievery Corporation will be making their way to the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater on Tuesday, October 17. The band prides itself on thriving for 20 years without a radio hit, a big budget video, or major label backing After forming in Washington D.C. in the Eighties, Thievery Corporation’s music takes progressive political stances on everything from war to human right and food for the needy. The crew is currently touring with a new album, The Temple of I & I, released in February of this year.

Whether you are a fan of the E Street Band, The Sopranos or simply magnificent guitar work, you will get a kick out of Steven Van Zandt, aka Little Steven, performing with fifteen other artists as the Disciples of Soul at Fort Lauderdale’s Revolution Live on Thursday, October 26. Playing both sides of the Atlantic, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is offering a VIP Preshow Meet and Greet for die-hard fans. Along with new staples like “Soulfire,” Coming Back” and “The Blues Is My Business,” spectators may even get to hear covers from “Little Steven’s Underground Garage,” the man’s highly successful syndicated radio show.

Regardless of whether they prefer heavy metal, dance music or the blues, October will be a wonderful month for all Fort Lauderdale luxury homeowners.
