Now that we are living in the year 2017, internet dating has become extremely popular for thousands of men and women living on Lakewood Ranch real estate. I bet you know quite a few couples who originally met on an online dating site before they decided to tie the knot. After all, websites eliminate plenty of the annoyances and pains associated with dating. At the same time, online dating can come with its fair share of problems.

When Mike Mathews was 27, he decided to try online dating. That way, he was able to learn all about a girl before he bothered to hit on her at a bar. Simply by reading her profile, Mike could tell if she had ever been married, where she works, and if she has kids or if she ever wants to. Does the lady smoke cigarettes, or would she ever consider dating a smoker? Is she just looking for a fun date or somebody to start a long-term relationship with? Her personal page also lists her interests, allowing Mike to easily spark up a conversation about her favorite TV show, movie, or book. Maybe they were both born in New York City, or perhaps they both work in marketing. These are important facts to know before a person makes initial contact with a prospective date. Just think of all the time and money Mike saved by doing his homework on the website before asking a girl out. Fortunately, Mike found the future Mrs. Mathews online and they are expecting their first child in just a few weeks.

Of course, not every internet dating site has such a happy ending. For instance, Rachel Murphy is a 26-year-old businesswoman with a home for sale in Lakewood Ranch. She tried to meet somebody special on the web. At first, nobody seemed to spark her interest. Eventually, she lowered her standards just to find a man to spend time with. However, her date turned out to be a nightmare. Rachel’s first date was with another 26-year-old named Gary. But upon first glance, it was obvious that Gary was a big liar. For starters, the bald gentleman she met had to be in his late thirties, if not early forties. His profile also said he was an avid fitness freak. So how does one explain Gary’s enormous beer belly? He also smelled of cigarettes that were unsuccessfully covered up with cheap cologne. Being polite, Rachel made it through dinner before she pretended she felt sick. She ran home and has never returned the man’s phone calls, text messages, or emails since. It may have taken a couple of days, but Gary did eventually take the hint and has since stopped bothering Rachel.

As I am sure any man or woman with a Lakewood Ranch luxury home can imagine, some folks are simply luckier than others when it comes to internet dating. At least those who haven’t had any luck now possess memorable stories that will not be forgotten anytime soon.
