Living in the Sunshine State can be wonderful for a number of reasons, including the warm weather twelve months a year. Folks never have to worry about shoveling snow like homeowners do in New York, nor are California’s earthquakes ever a concern. However, Florida is not free from natural disasters, as hurricanes can be an enormous threat. Then folks should also worry about scorching humidity as well as annoying mosquitos, and even large alligators that can be a threat. Of course, alligator attacks are far less common than irritating insect bites.

Despite the mosquitos flying around South Florida, there are some fabulous homes for millennials, professionals, and retired men and women to enjoy. Some folks prefer the city life and choose to reside in big cities, such as Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, and Orlando. Then people also like to live in suburbs, such as Aventura, Boca Raton, and St. Petersburg. Yet, thousands of individuals prefer the tranquility of Cape Coral real estate.

The biggest city in Southwest Florida, Cape Coral, is much appreciated because the cost of living is extremely low, especially when compared to the other Florida cities just mentioned. Individuals of all ages enjoy the tropical lifestyle, whether it is for business or pleasure.

The city is fabulous for businesses, as its population is experiencing steady growth. Every year, commercial businesses are growing. For example, Henry Harris recently relocated from Fort Lauderdale to Cape Coral. After 30 years in the banking industry, he decided to find a less stressful career. That’s why he and his wife found a gorgeous home for sale in Cape Coral as soon as their two sons had both moved out of their house. He decided to open Henry’s Ice Cream Parlor right along the Gulf of Mexico.

From the very start, Henry has always loved his little ice cream parlor. Rather than wearing a shirt and tie to the office every day, he now tosses on shorts, a t-shirt, and a baseball cap. He spends his time talking to local customers, as well as tourists from all over the world. While plenty of visitors are snow birds in from New York during the winter months, Henry has made friends with people from Canada, Israel, Albania, and even China.

Of course, Henry and his wife miss their children, as well as the big city life with a professional football team. Fortunately, they can simply hop in the car for a couple of hours to visit their kids in a bigger town. For instance, Billy lives in Tampa where he teaches economics to a bunch of high school kids. Billy is also the varsity wrestling coach. While his workdays are long and demanding for little money, he would never give up his career to move closer to his parents. Similarly, Ryan lives with his wife and daughter in a large apartment in Downtown Miami. In the fall, Henry gets to visit them and they all enjoy seeing Dolphins games in the giant arena known as Hard Rock Stadium. To top it all off, Henry then gets to drive back to the peace and tranquility of his Cape Coral luxury home.
