Classic rock fans living everywhere from Los Angeles to Dallas and Delray Beach real estate will be ecstatic to learn that the Eagles will still go on. Keeping it all in the family, the late Glenn Frey’s son, Deacon, will replace the original singer and guitarist onstage with Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and the rest of the band at the Classic East and Classic West festivals taking place over in July. Most fans of the Eagles assumed the group would not go on following Glenn Frey’s death last January from pneumonia, arthritis, and other complications.

If you want to prepare yourself for the concerts, or merely consider yourself a fan of the Eagles, there are a few albums that truly belong in your home for sale in Delray Beach. For starters, the Eagles’ self-titled premier from 1972 was filled with country rock, featuring three different Top Forty singles. “Take It Easy” was a song penned by Glenn Frey’s famous buddy, Jackson Browne. It hit Number Twelve on the Billboard Hot 100 and propelled the Eagles to stardom. Then came the bluesy “Witchy Woman,” followed by the soft ballad “Peaceful Easy Feeling.” Rolling Stone’s 2003 list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” ranks Eagles at #374.

When the Eagles set out to portray themselves as keepers of the old West, flawless harmonies, such as “Tequila Sunrise” and the title track arose on 1973’s Desperado. Both Don Henley and Glenn Frey were in their prime as singers and songwriters.

Hotel California from 1976 stands as the Eagle’s musical peak and bestselling cut. The title tune and the hedonistic lifestyle described in “Life in the Fast Lane” reflect its overall theme of paradise lost. The CD’s musical arrangement is made up of strumming guitars with dramatic drums with power and brilliance.

One of These Nights is the Eagles’ fourth studio release from 1975, and the first of four-straight works by the band to reach No. 1.  It entails their second number one single “One of These Nights,” as well as “Visions,” the crew’s only song on with Don Felder on lead vocals.

Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) is the Eagles first compilation from 1976. The phenomenal sales made it the Number One bestselling record of all time until Michael Jackson’s death in 2009. It now sits at Number Two, behind Thriller. Just this year, the Library of Congress selected Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) for preservation due to its cultural significance.

While it certainly doesn’t compare to an Eagles LP, Don Henley solo work, Building the Perfect Beast is simply a fantastic album that should be in every Delray Beach luxury home. 1984’s deep, intellectual record features Henley’s voice recorded over layered synthesizers, rather than the Eagles’ country sound. “The Boys of Summer” is the record’s single that reached #5 on the Billboard charts, utilizing lyrics of loss and aging, capped by seeing “a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac.” The album’s “All She Wants to Do Is Dance,” “Sunset Grill” and “Not Enough Love in the World” were all radio hits.
