If you happen to be a Stuart real estate owner who appreciates quality live music, you should consider experiencing this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Taking place from June 8th to 11th at Great Stage Park in Manchester, Tennessee, the show will feature U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance the Rapper, Cage the Elephant and many more talented acts.

Every year, Stuart luxury homeowners venture to the enormous site for four days. First held for jam bands back in 2002, Bonnaroo will feature multiple stages entailing live hip hop, jazz, bluegrass, country, folk, gospel, reggae, electronica, and alternative music performing into the wee hours of the night. Some concertgoers are known to dance until 3 am or so.

Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival was put together in the spirit of 1967’s Monterey International Pop Music Festival, as well as 1969’s legendary Woodstock Music & Art Fair in New York. Past headliners of the 100,000-capacity main stage include some of the industry’s biggest names, ranging from Sir Paul McCartney, Nine Inch Nails, Phish, Tool, the White Strips and Widespread Panic to the Police, Ziggy Marley, Neil Young, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, the Allman Brothers Band and Beastie Boys. Every year, hundreds if not thousands of people with Stuart waterfront condos for sale venture to the memorable event.

The second performance area holds 30,000 to keep the masses entertained for twelve hours each day. The fiesta will also host 24 hours of live music in tents, an arcade, craftsmen, and artisans selling uncommon products, and folks with Stuart waterfront real estate enjoy free sporting activities for attendees.

If you are wondering where to stay when attending the festival, concertgoers have a few options. They can camp on the grounds like most folks do. You can even plan to camp with friends and family, as there are no assigned camping spots. Others stay at nearby hotels and motels in Manchester. Children of all ages are welcome to Bonnaroo. There are even designated areas for families that are expecting children. Now, wouldn’t Bonnaroo be a cool place to be born?

The word “Bonnaroo” is Cajun slang meaning “a really great time,” and stems from a Creole-French construction taken from the French term for good, “bon,” and the translation for street, “rue.” The expression was popularized by New Orleans R&B legend Dr. John with his 1974 album Desitively Bonnaroo. The record title was used for its literal meaning, as well as to honor the Louisiana tradition of meshing many styles of quality live music for appreciative fans.

Years ago, organizers Superfly Productions and AC Entertainment purchased hundreds of acres of the site where the gala takes place annually. The celebration will continue to lease another 250 acres for parking and camping. In the last decade, Bonnaroo has contributed more than $1 million directly to charities, such as Coffee County.

Measured a little more than 10 years ago, the economic impact of the massive event on the area was $14 million in business revenues, adding more than $4 million in personal income. Not bad for a few days of peace, love, and happiness out in the middle of nowhere. You can even take a ride on a giant Ferris wheel.
