Ever since she was a little girl in the 1980s, Terri had dreamed of having the perfect wedding. She wanted hundreds of her friends, family, and coworkers to attend, and be astonished at how beautiful every little detail turned out. From the setting and her dress to the food selections and the live band’s set-list, the day was flawless. Twenty years later, Terri’s special man, Ted, supplied her with everything her little heart had ever wanted.

Thanks to Ted’s seemingly endless hours of planning, the big wedding ceremony took place outdoors at a magnificent country club. Located on a gorgeous piece of Windermere real estate in mid-January, the outdoor seating was neither too hot, nor too cold. In fact, the wedding was planned to take place as the sun was going down to capture an ideal temperature, as well as a picturesque background. All of Terri’s relatives who flew in from New York, Minnesota and Winnipeg were ecstatic to experience winter in the Sunshine State.

After each of Ted’s groomsmen and Terri’s maids of honor, the man of the hour strutted down the aisle with his mother on one arm and his father on the next. Then came the big moment. A piano version of “Here Comes the Bride” played as Terri glided down the middle with her dad. Of course, “Pops” looked fantastic in his three-piece suit, despite the joker’s green socks. Terri’s bright blue eyes glowed, as her radiant smile was electrifying to the lucky groom.

The ceremony was short and sweet. After saying their vows, Ted recited a piece of a Shakespearian sonnet to his fiancée. The poetry discussed the heavenly features of his subject, as well as having a child in the future. Perhaps one of the coolest parts is that it was performed by a licensed minister who is married to Ted’s Best Man.

Then came the reception. The party room was full and every individual was on his or her feet when Ted and Terri entered the room to the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love.” Then came the first dance. Sure, the couple’s song used to be U2’s “Beautiful Day.” Of course, that changed, as Ted had always known his wedding song would be the most romantic number in rock and roll history, the mighty Led Zeppelin’s “I’m Gonna Crawl.” Despite Ted’s decision being made 20 years before he even met Terri, she was happy to comply with his wishes. The night was filled with heartfelt moments between family and friends, including memorable speeches that had folks laughing, as well as crying. Sure, some cranky guests complained about the loud music or the way their meals were cooked. But Ted and Terri’s wedding was as close to perfect as either could have ever imagined.

Don’t forget about the honeymoon. Or in this case, the honeymoons. Ted and Terri enjoyed a weekend getaway not far from their home for sale in Windermere to ride The Simpsons at Universal Studios Orlando Resort. A few weeks later, the newlyweds made it to Manhattan, where they experienced Van Morrison onstage at Madison Square Garden. Finally, the couple enjoyed a weekend getaway on a Pink Floyd-themed cruise ship. The adventure was named “Great Gig in the Sea.” Not too shabby. Pretty soon, the couple will be looking for a Windermere luxury home of their own.
