One of the most fantastic feelings for any individual is to come home after a long day at the office and relax with a spectacular record. Some folks like to take it easy, sip a tasty beverage, and put their feet up. Upon occasion, they may dance around their Windermere FL real estate in their underwear like Tom Cruise, while others prefer to bang their heads to some Black Sabbath.

To start, Jill Brookes is a 39-year-old wife and mother to two little boys who recently bought a beautiful home for sale in Windermere FL. Growing up with two older brothers, Jill began to love the long-haired rock bands from the Seventies, like the mighty Led Zeppelin and Badfinger. Jill used to hear the Badfinger album Magic Christian Music, made up of originals recorded and a handful of tracks remixed from their debut. While Sir Paul McCartney produced two tracks, “Come and Get It” and “Rock of All Ages,” the lyrics refer to one man’s schemes of bribing people to act according to his whims. As Jill will proudly tell you, all of Badfinger’s material from the 1970 cut was used in the film, Magic Christian Music.

Stemming from her undying love for Led Zeppelin, Jill appreciates guitar god Jimmy Page’s next band, The Firm. In 1985, the band cut their first studio album.  The self-titled LP includes numbers ranging from the epic “Midnight Moonlight,” a cut based on a Zeppelin’s “Swan Song.”  The cover version of “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling” is exceptionally noteworthy, and helped the record peak at #17 on the Billboard chart.

The very next year, the same Englishmen released another album. Mean Business is their studio cut from 1986 made up of the good ol’ blues, such as “Live in Peace.” The album peaked at #22 on the Billboard’s Pop Albums chart.

Jill’s older sister Stacy is a Windermere FL luxury homeowner that prefers softer music. For instance, she used to spend hours on her bed doing nothing but listening to the delightful soundtrack to 1967’s legendary The Graduate. The LP possesses the soft-core hippie music of Simon and Garfunkel, including the “Sounds of Silence.” The soundtrack is renowned as it was the first of its kind ever used in a film, managing to give the movie a sort of tension only felt by the melodies.

Of course, Stacy also appreciates her beach tunes. For starters, Beauty and the Beat is the Go Go’s debut album from 1981 featuring “Our Lips Are Sealed.” As Stacy proudly explains to anyone who will listen, the album became a massive club hit on both sides of the Atlantic, while it was a Billboard topper, eventually sitting at number one for six weeks, and is considered one of the cornerstone albums of 80s’ “new wave” music.

Another favorite work of Stacy’s is Grand Funk Railroad’s Good Singin’, Good Playin’, Grand Funk Railroad’s final cut from 1976. Stacy claims that it shows freshness and sheer dynamics, including a guest performance of Frank Zappa. The album wasn’t a commercial success, as it only made it to #52 in the US Top 100, and soon after the band folded.
