Not everybody grew up mowing his or her lawn. Some folks come from fancy homes or apartments where staff members took care of the landscape. But now that you own your own piece of Weston real estate, it is up to you to accomplish the chore. Fortunately, a few tips exist to make mowing the lawn as quick and easy as possible.

To begin, it is smart to carry wire cutters when mowing your yard. While much the grass wrapped around your leg can be extracted with a few good tugs, a surprisingly large proportion entwine around ankle bones in a manner no physician or physicist can explain. With a handy set of wire cutters, the excess can be trimmed.

Next, never forget to have enough gas for your lawn mower. When the mower keeps coughing and sputtering to a stop, or any other time you want to choke the thing, push this lever. It does nothing. To get the sadistic contraption running you’ll need gasoline.

Always beware of your machine’s safety features. Modern mowers possess a handle lever that shuts mowers down every time the operator looks to the left. This quadruples the number of pull starts needed. Nowadays, mowers also come with what is called a Plastic Do-Hickie. A Do-Hickie’s only function is to display a sticker reminding people not to shove their hands or feet inside a running lawnmower. Gardeners only do this to remove grass clogs. Ironically, these helpful Do-Hickies cause 99.96% of grass clogs. Doh!

Always stay hydrated. In South Florida, heat stroke has become synonymous with summer. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, especially while outdoors. With ice packs strategically perched on major arterial lines, you’ll wonder what you would ever do without enough agua in your reach.

Do not forget that your trusty lawnmower needs a little maintenance every now and then. A clanking serenade resulting from the first startup of the morning is not unusual.

Never ever rely on electric mowers. Even if you could lug 300 yards of cord, it’s an enormously bad idea for folks with homes for sale in Weston. When several dogs and even children decide to play under the extension, something can and will go wrong. It always does. The carnage could be unspeakable, even for those who like to cook marshmallows over an open fire.

Finally, you may want to depend on the Section Technique for different members of the family. That way, everyone in the house gets to contribute. John will cut the front yard of the Weston luxury home on Saturday. On Sunday, Nancy will be responsible for the left half of the backyard, while Billy will do the right half, and mom makes lemonade for the whole family. But what about dad? Oh yeah, he keeps reminding the family that he’s the one who paid for the lawnmower.

Don’t let yourself get discouraged. Regardless of how much it rains over the summer and how tall you let your grass grow, it is always something that you and your family can handle yourselves.
