Vira Ferreira is proud to have been named as the President’s Liaison to the country of Portugal by the National Association of REALTORS®. President’s Liaisons are NAR members, appointed by the NAR President to serve as liaisons to real estate professionals in their assigned country.
Since November 2015, Vira has been working to help strengthen NAR’s relationships with the cooperating associations in Portugal, and to bring professional education to real estate practitioners in their country. She is a CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designee and has knowledge of the country’s real estate practice, culture, and language. Over the past 3 years, Vira has been leveraging her fluency in Portuguese and Spanish, to build business relationships with organizations and private companies in Portugal.
She has recently traveled to Portugal with NAR’s President, Elizabeth Mendenhall and other NAR members to witness the signing of a new agreement between APEMIP, the local association, and UCI, a private financial institution, to cooperate in the implementation of CIPS training programs and NAR’s code of ethics – currently Vira’s areas of focus in her Liaison’s role.
