As a number of Weston real estate owners know, karaoke is the form of entertainment when amateur vocalists get behind the mic to sing along with prerecorded music. The tunes are usually well-known pieces and the lyrics are also displayed on a monitor to guide the performance. There is a common fallacy in Weston homes for sale that karaoke is Japanese for “tone-deaf.” The term karaoke can actually be interpreted as “virtual orchestra.”

Jill Smith is an advertising executive who owns her own Weston luxury home. At a recent karaoke party on Weston real estate, she explained the game to roughly a dozen other participants. Jill said that karaoke has been around since the early 1970s in Japan, and spread to other parts of the world in the 80s.

Machines were initially placed in restaurants, bars or hotel rooms and soon became extremely popular in a variety of homes for sale in Weston. Whether it is renditions of “Kumbaya,” Adam Sandler or Wilson Phillips, many folks with Weston real estate still regard karaoke as a “cheesy” form for the intoxicated to simply embarrass themselves.

Unfortunately, the novelty has worn off and the available selection of music has exploded all over Weston real estate. It is not uncommon for some establishments in South Florida to have the hokey presentations seven nights a week. Whether it’s for birthdays, weddings, surprise fiestas, graduations, anniversaries and even Bar Mitzvah galas, karaoke parties on Weston real estate are a highly profitable form of lounge and nightclub soirees, while they can be a full-blown blast.

A handful of restaurants on Weston real estate pack folks in for karaoke several nights a week. Weston real estate owners have been enjoying everything from outrageous children’s show tunes and risqué singles to Garth Brooks and Metallica for several years. Most noteworthy is a young man with Weston real estate who does a memorable impression of Whitney Houston and the “Greatest Love Of All.” In fact, one of the bartenders even named a drink, “Sexual Chocolate,” after the unforgettable karaoke performance.

Will Waters is a school teacher living on Weston real estate. He enjoys going to karaoke bars a few nights a week. Normally a shy individual, Will opens up when he is singing onstage. After receiving loud claps for his version of Led Zeppelin’s “All My Love,” Will has the confidence to approach women at the bar. All he has to do is ask a young lady at the bar if she cared for his singing. The rest takes care of itself.

Similarly, Julie is a single mother of two boys with Weston real estate. Just like Will, Julie relies on her singing to meet new people and form new friendships. In fact, the woman has recently met a wonderful man at a karaoke bar. Not only do they both live on Weston real estate, but both Julie and her boyfriend love singing Motown classics from the Sixties and Seventies. Maybe Julie’s children will have a stepfather sooner than later.
