These days, there are literally millions of pets living with loving families throughout South Florida. Often times, they are dogs that come in all shapes and sizes. Other times, folks give homes to cats. Then there are the more exotic animals that people like to care for, such as birds, turtles, and even snakes.

Sam and Kelly are a pair of newlyweds from South Florida. The couple just purchased their first home together. Of course, they had to find a place that would be appropriate for their yellow Labrador Retriever. After all, Taco is a big boy who weighs more than 100 pounds. Finding a good home for them all was not so easy, as not every piece of Palm Beach Gardens real estate is dog-friendly. Having a large back yard was a priority, as well as plenty of grass for the four-legged baby to run around on. Fortunately, a knowledgeable real estate professional from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty was able to help Sam and Kelly find an ideal home that made everybody happy, including Taco. They even have a swimming pool that the giant puppy loves to jump in before leaving wet footmarks all over the ground. Upon occasion, Taco even sneaks in the house and gets those wet feet all over the carpet. Doh!

Amy recently purchased a small but beautiful home for sale in Palm Beach Gardens. However, one would never know it by walking into her place that seems to be overrun by cats. Amy and her two daughters have a total of eight different cats. The place smells of kitty litter in every single room. She tries her best to cover the odor, but nothing seems to help. To make matters worse, her cats seem to be shedding their hair now that we are approaching summertime and it is getting warm outside. To make matters worse, one or more of the cats got ahold of the girls’ pet parakeet. It was not a pretty sight. Let’s just hope Amy and her girls plan to stay put for a while, as selling the property won’t be too easy.

David is a junior at a public high school in Palm Beach Gardens. The only child lives alone with his parents. After months of crying about getting a Golden Retriever, he finally threw in the towel. Recently, David talked his folks into buying him a ball python. He thought that having his own snake as a pet would be so cool. He could walk around with Monty wrapped around his neck all day and feed him a live mouse every week or so. The only problem was that David recently fell asleep with Monty still around his neck. The reptile crawled away and is now loose in their Palm Beach Gardens luxury home. David’s mother is furious and scared the snake will show up in one of her drawer’s and scare her half to death. But as David reminds her on a daily basis, at least they don’t have to worry about any mice running throughout their home.
