Thousands of Fort Lauderdale real estate owners can agree that marriage between a man and a woman is a glorious thing. The beauty of two people devoting themselves to one another for their rest of their lives cannot be denied. Most of the times the couples have children and start families. Eventually, they grow into proud grandparents. It is all a part of life. Of course, there are often downsides to marriage. For instance, plenty of newly hitched men and women have to deal with an annoying mother-in-law.

Mark Phillips is a 36-year-old business executive who recently married his girlfriend. They had been dating for roughly 2 years before they got hitched and bought a beautiful home for sale in Fort Lauderdale. Mark felt like a little boy, as he was ecstatic to decorate his very first home. Since he was a child, he couldn’t wait to create a room simply for his electric guitars and drum kit. The walls would be decorated with artistic posters of Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, and the mighty Led Zeppelin. Every evening after work, he would be able to hide in his room and unwind as he recreated the best music ever made in his private music room. Of course, this phenomenal plan didn’t last long, as his new mother-in-law had her own opinion about the extra room.

“A grown man does not need his own room just to play noisy rock music,” she cried to her daughter. “The space would be better off used as storage. That way, you can have enough room in the garage to put a car,” she carried on. “It is time for your husband to grow up and do something more practical with any and all extra space in your new home.”

While neither Mark nor his wife necessarily agreed with the advice, they followed her suggestion. It simply was not worth it to hear her complaints for the rest of their time living in that house. Fortunately, Mark took advantage of the opportunity and he began to stop by his best buddy’s place on his way home from work a few nights a week. The two musicians got to jam for what they called band practice. Of course, Mark’s mother-in-law has something to say about him being in a band.

“No grown man and husband needs to be in a rock and roll band,” she carried on. “A professional should be focused on starting a family, if not fixing up his new home. After all, the grass still needs to be cut and each of the bedrooms’ walls could use a new coat of paint.” Again, Mark and his wife caved in, as it simply wasn’t worth it to hear her constant nagging.

As much as Mark loves his wife, as well as his new Fort Lauderdale luxury home, he is now trying to move as far away from South Florida as he can. The man is now searching for a good job in San Francisco, if not Seattle. Really, can you blame him?
